Our Pageants

Up Pageantry produces two pageants a year, the Placer County Pageant, and the Northern Sierra Pageant.

The Pageant Events

The Placer County Pageants take place during the Placer County Fair in Roseville, CA, the third week in June.

The Northern Sierra Pageants take place during the Gold Country Fair in Auburn, CA the first week of September.

Prize Package

Placer County-Since 2015, when Up Pageantry began producing the pageant, the prize package has exceeded $6,000 annually. Our low entry fee covers all categories, including awards for Royal Court, Best Interview, Most Photogenic, People's Choice Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, Spirit Award, Community Service Award, and Essay Award (Essay competition is voluntary).

Northern Sierra-We obtained the right to produce the Northern Sierra Pageant very recently, and our plan is to build up the prize package to match the Placer pageant.  Please inquire if you have questions.

Scoring & Areas of Competition

Both pageants: The scoring for each category is equally weighted. Placer County: All categories compete in Personal Interview (which is panel style) and Gown, and Impromptu or on-stage question. Additional categories are for: MISS- Swimwear; Teen & Ms-Athletic Wear,  and Juniors-Fun Fashion or Theme Wear.

Northern Sierra-Both the Miss and Teen will compete in: Interview, Question, Fitness Wear, and Gown.

Rehearsals

Placer County: Rehearsals begin after Orientation, which usually occurs the last week in April or first week of May.  They occur once a week for 2  hours. We offer several "make ups" for girls who want extra practice or who have missed a regularly scheduled one. We also do NOT score you for "Reliability", i.e. "attendance".

Northern Sierra: We will offer 2-3 rehearsals in the weeks prior to pageant. All contestants must attend at least one rehearsal.
